Here you will find some further information about Powerscourt puppies.
 |
We are located in beautiful and picturesque Herefordshire (not far from J7 of the M5).
We only have a small number of puppies available each year and therefore do not have puppies constantly available. Please check our
Planned Litters/Puppy Availability page for information about our current/future litter plans.
|
 |
As part of our commitment to the health of our puppies, we screen our adult dogs using the current recommended health screening methods
OptiGen prcd-PRA,
Antagene FN testing (where the genetic
status of a dog is not known through parentage) &
KC/BVA Hip Scoring.
We are pleased to say that all Powerscourt puppies will be unaffected with either prcd-PRA or Familial Nephropathy (FN) due to the known genetic status of their parents. |
 |
Our 'babies' are born and reared in our busy family home. They are well socialised around all the usual household noises and activity. They are regularly handled and played with by our family, our visitors and ourselves. We also take our 'babies' out in the car on several occasions to help them become accustomed to car journeys.
Our puppies also get many opportunities to play with our adult dogs; this gives them every chance to learn 'doggie' skills. We also have two lovely dog friendly cats that are more than willing to play with the 'babies'! |
 |
We occasionally have parti-coloured (blue roan, orange roan, blue roan & tan, black & white, orange & white and chocolate roan) cocker spaniel puppies available to approved homes.
Our puppies are bred for
excellent temperaments and are always well-adjusted individuals and make loyal and devoted companions. |
 |
We are dedicated and responsible Kennel Club Accredited breeders who aim to
provide owners with a healthy, happy and well socialised, quality
parti-coloured puppy that they should have many years of enjoyment from. Please
note our puppies are not available for breeding.
We aim to have a litter
when we wish to keep a puppy for ourselves and the remainder of the litter are
placed in loving family homes. Accordingly, we do not have puppies available all
year round. |
 |
Please note, for administrative reasons we do not maintain a waiting list for our puppies until we actually have puppies available.
We welcome visits from would-be owners; however, visits are limited to those people on our waiting list. For more information about visits please see our visiting us page. |
 |
When we do have puppies available, we aim to ensure that they go to permanent
and loving homes where owners have the time and commitment to offer to a lively
new member of the family.
Before the puppy leaves our home, it has been lovingly reared and socialised.
However, like all puppies, our pups do not go to their new homes as trained,
well-mannered and obedient dogs! Owners are responsible for the further
development of the puppy's personality, through guidance, training, structured
rules and love!

 |
Our puppies have healthy, happy and good-natured parents. They are reared in
our home in a clean, stimulating, loving and caring environment.
They are wormed fortnightly and are always given a full health check-up by our Vet and micro-chipped (chip registered in the new owner's name) before leaving us for their new homes. |
 |
Puppies are supplied with Five Generation Pedigrees, Kennel Club Registration documents (endorsed not for breeding or export), micro-chip certificate (in the new owner’s name), health declaration, insurance documentation and a contract of sale. There is also a comprehensive care pack consisting of: puppy food, a puppy gift pack of toys/treats, and a 40+ page "owners guide" containing a diet sheet and just about everything you need to know about caring for your new cocker puppy/dog.
|
 |
We have a lifetime commitment to our puppies and we actively encourage our
puppy buyers to keep in touch with us and are happy to offer advice and help
whenever needed. We will also take back or help re-home any of our pups/dogs
should this be required at some stage in their lives.
If you have any further questions or would like further information about our
puppies please feel free to contact us. Further information can also be found on
our FAQ page. |
